A triple double don’t mean nothing if you can’t hit your free throws.

- Tom Lewis of Indy Cornrows on his plans for the evening. Listen to him. He’s a good dude.
“Indiana Pacers: Their 113-92 home loss to the Dallas Mavericks was Indy’s fifth loss in six games — and the sole win in that stretch was at home versus the Clippers — but the Pacers do play in the same city as Brad’s Brass Flamingo, home of the $10 lap dance. Strip club connoisseurs will realize what a great value that is.”
(Basketbawful’s take on why Pacers fans should be thankful)
Excerpt:
“Golden State did get a historic playoff run and a 48-win season out of the pair, and they freed themselves from Murphleavy’s contracts. And the Pacers haven’t won more than 36 games since the trade. Still, the Pacers have solid veterans to bank on (at least when Dunleavy’s healthy), haven’t had nearly as much drama and turmoil, and they appear to be closer to turning things around than the Warriors.”
Unlike Moore (see below), Kelly Dwyer is actually suggesting that everyone watch Pacers/Dubs tonight, mainly because this will be one of your last opportunities to watch the Warriors without Nellie and, like Moore, he’s not so much of a Nellie fan.
Honestly, They Might As Well Bill This As “Pacers-Warriors Shoot-Around”
God, I hate Don Nelson. The end.
Matt Moore’s “reasons to watch” Pacers/Warriors tonight. In his defense, I wouldn’t watch it if I wasn’t a Pacers fan/blogger either.
Dunleavy talks about his return the other night, although, fair warning, he really says next to nothing. Still, it’s just nice to see him sitting around sweaty after a game at this point. Wait a minute? That came out sounding wrong. I don’t mean it that way. Seriously guys, c’mon. I LIFT WEIGHTS. I DRINK BEER. MONSTER TRUCKS. RAWWWWWR.

SLAM magazine’s upcoming issue is its “How-To Issue” and exec. editor Lang Whitiaker breaks down the reasoning behind getting a bunch of NBA players to break down certain aspects of being a pro. They’ve tasked Danny Granger to detail “How To Improve Every Year” feature given his MIP award and continual progress. I’m really, really looking forward to this whole issue and the Granger piece in particular. Buy it.
